Simon Napier-Bell and Björn de Water have jointly formed a new music company aimed at providing artists' managers with a full range of consultancy services.
Snap-B Music is not an artist management company. Rather, it offers advice and expertise to the managers of artists.
Between them Napier-Bell and De Water have sixty years of experience in the music industry, particularly in artist management. Through Snap-B Music they will be offering managers their experience and insight into the complex issues surrounding the building and development of artists. Their services include helping to identify and negotiate with suitable record companies, music publishers, agents, and promoters.
Simon Napier-Bell says, "It's impossible to be in management as long as I have without wanting to share the experiences and knowledge I've gathered. I can't manage every artist I see who's worth helping, the job is too time consuming, but I can share my expertise with other managers and tailor advice specifically to the needs of their particular artist. It seems the best possible way to stay involved in management while at the same time freeing myself up to pursue other interests too."
Björn de Water says, "Sometimes a comparatively inexperienced manager can be just the right person for an artist in terms of energy, enthusiasm and understanding of the artist's needs. We aim to help managers in that position by using our extensive knowledge of management to help them bridge any gaps in their experience."
Snap-B Music's consultancy services will cover all possible matters relating to the management, promotion and advancement of an artist's career. The company also offers a full range of music publishing, record production and business affairs services.
