De jaarlijkse DJ Mag Top 100 is op 19 oktober tijdens ADE, Amsterdam Dance Event, weer bekend gemaakt. Het is de verkiezing van de meest populaire DJ.

De lijst is gebaseerd op keuze, voorkeur van dance liefhebbers van over de gehele wereld. Het Grieks-Belgische duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike is na 3 jaar weer de #1. Azië biedt nieuwe kansen voor Nederlandse acts

De exportwaarde die de Nederlandse populaire muziek toevoegt aan de Nederlandse economie bedraagt in 2017 ruim € 201 miljoen; een stijging van 0,26% in vergelijking met 2016. Ruim 75,6% komt voor rekening van dancemuziek. Dit blijkt uit het jaarlijkse onderzoek van Perfect & More dat sinds 2004 in opdracht van Buma Cultuur de exportwaarde van Nederlandse popmuziek in kaart brengt.

DJ Mag Top 100 laat weer overmacht zien van de Nederlandse dj's. 

Met maar liefst 7 Nederlandse DJ's in de Top 10 en in totaal 12 in de Top 25 is dit een indrukwekkend resultaat. In de Top 100 staan in totaal 26 Nederlandse DJ's, artiesten in de lijst.

Yellow Claw's third album 'New Blood' will be released on June 22nd. Yellow Claw prefer to view the album as a kind of musical travelogue, reflecting their international touring schedule. 'New Blood' finds the duo collaborating with singers and rappers from Denmark, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico, China, England, the United States and the Netherlands. The next song to be released is "Summertime" featuring San Holo. It features Nils himself singing on a track for the first time.

Chace releases new single on own label Howshood

Last week 18 year old The Shanghai-based singer, songwriter Chace announced his own label called Howshood.

Chace: "We needed a home for pure creation, for doing things that no other label would consider. Yellow Claw, the producer and DJ duo known to the world for their bass-heavy productions and riotous performances, release a strikingly pensive new single. Exportwaarde Nederlandse populaire muziek bereikt record van ruim 196 miljoen euro

De exportwaarde van de Nederlandse populaire muziek is in 2016 gegroeid naar een recordbedrag van ruim 196 miljoen euro. Daarmee is de lichte daling die in 2015 te zien was, teniet gedaan. Buma Cultuur maakte 20 januari de cijfers bekend die werden gepresenteerd tijdens Eurosonic Noorderslag.

Het aandeel dance in deze cijfers bedraagt ruim 73 %. Yellow Claw staat op de eerste plaats met de meeste optredens in het buitenland.

De exportwaarde van de Nederlandse populaire muziek is in 2015 vrijwel gelijk gebleven aan die van 2014. Daarmee is, sinds de cijfers structureel worden onderzocht vanaf 2004, voor het eerste geen sprake van groei. In het eerste jaar van de metingen bedroeg de totale exportwaarde € 31,6 miljoen, terwijl in 2015 een bedrag van € 183,26 miljoen werd genoteerd.
