De Amerikaanse band Mêlée bestaat uit Chris Cron (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Ricky Sans (guitar, vocals), Ryan Malloy (bass, vocals) en Mike Nader (drums). Als hun grootste invloeden noemen de mannen zelf Elton John, Coldplay en John Legend. Op hun eerste album "Devils & Angels" hoor je deze invloeden door de melodieuze pop/rock songs klinken. De Amerikaanse band Mêlée (spreek uit als Mee-lee) bestaat uit Chris Cron
(vocals, keyboards, guitar), Ricky Sans (guitar, vocals), Ryan Malloy (bass, vocals) en Mike Nader (drums).
Beïnvloed door Elton John, Coldplay’s Chris Martin en neo-soul ster John Legend, presenteert Mêlée haar eigen stijl op dit album vol melodieuze pop/rock songs gedreven door de zang en pianospel van frontman Chris Cron.

“Built to last” is de eerste single van het album “Devils & Angels” van de uit Californie afkomstige groep Mêlée. De groep bestaat sinds 2003. Hun muziek is vooral beïnvloed door artiesten als Elton John, Coldplay's Chris Martin, en John Legend. Dus qua muziek pianorick? Mêlée heeft daarmee een eigen en herkenbare stijl van melodic poprock ontwikkeld.
