23-11-2007 @ 11:46

The Gathering stands at the beginning of a new era. With the release of their new DVD “A Noise SevereThe Gathering looks back at a special period of the band’s history.
A Noise Severe” is the second official DVD release by the Dutch rock group The Gathering and the follow-up for the award winning DVD “A Sound Relief”. Whereas “A Sound Relief’ showed the more subtle side of the band, “A Noise Severe” reveals the more rock-orientated side of The Gathering.
On March 24th 2007 The Gathering performed an unforgettable live show at Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago Chile, with their former line-up, before the departure of singer Anneke van Giersbergen.
The concert was electrified by the overwhelming response of the Santiago audience and the band with René Rutten (guitar), Hans Rutten (drums), Marjolein Kooijman (bass) and Frank Boeijen (keyboards) played more inspired than ever.
A Noise Severe” shows The Gathering could possibly be one of the best live bands ever, in a league of their own. The recordings of “A Noise Severe” will also appear on a double live CD.
