Op 5 mei a.s. verschijnt het nieuwe album van de Britse groep Bananarama getiteld "Drama" via Go Entertainment in de Benelux.
Het album bevat liedjes die gaan over lust, gekheid, passie gecombineerd met dansvloer en disco gekte. "Drama" is een mix van electro beats, happy house en boogie, met een enkele ballad. In juli 2005 had de groep in Engeland weer eens een Top 20 hit met "Move In My Direction", de eerste hit sinds 1993 en haalde de 14e plaats. Ook traden ze op tijdens enkele bijzondere evenementen in Engeland, Italie (Rome) en speelden als gasten samen met the Scissor Sisters. Na successen in de jaren '80 en '90 met hits als

Bananarama bestaat sinds 1981 en bestond toen uit Sara Dallin, Keren Woodward en Siobhan Fahey.
"Drama" is het 9e album van de groep. "Look on the floor' werd als single van het album in november 2005 uitgebracht in Engeland. Het album verscheen in november al in Japan, Singapore, Maleisie en Zuid Africa, waar de groep nog steeds mateloos populair is.

NEW ALBUM BANANARAMA "DRAMA"
May 5th sees the release of "Drama" - the new album from the Queens of Hedonism themselves - Bananarama. Packed with pop fuelled tales of lust, madness, mayhem, passion filled dancefloors and disco insanity, "Drama" is a luscious mix of electro beats, happy house, boogie nights and even the occasional ballad.
2005 has already been a fabulous year for Keren and Sarah, with two no 1 Dance smashes and their return to the Top Twenty with their hit " Move In My Direction". Already selling out massive clubs like G.A.Y, headlining Rome Pride in Italy and performing as the special guests with the Scissor Sisters at one of the most exciting secret gigs of the year, Bananarama are well and truly back. With a series of gigs being planned for USA and promo tour of Japan already confirmed, air miles are looking good for the ladies!
With co-writing and production credits from the likes of Pop Gods Brian Higgins (Sugababes, Girls Aloud ) Ian Masterson (Danni Minogue) and Korbi and Blackcell from the Murlyn Camp, most of "Drama" was mixed by ubermixer Jeremy Wheatley, who has also worked with the likes Kylie, Duran Duran and Goldfrapp.
