Buma Music In Motion (BMIM) is delighted to announce the following new speakers: Frans Bak, whose music for the Danish TV-series Forbrydelsen (aka "The Killing"), for which he scored all 3 seasons, was noticed in Hollywood where he has now scored 4 seasons of the US remake of The Killing. He also scored the popular series Doctor Foster for BBC One and is now working in both Europe and USA as one of the most sought after composers in the film and TV business today. Mark Gordon will be joining us as a moderator again. He runs Score Draw Music, a multi-award winning composition company working in film, television, advertising and animation. Meet the jury of the Buma Awards
Every year, BMIM award the very best and the most outstanding composers with Buma Awards. Because BMIM seeks to inspire and recognise all Dutch composers they celebrate the Buma Awards - Music in Media Categories on May 21st, the night before the BMIM conference takes place in Tolhuistuin, Amsterdam. The call for entries is closed and the jurors have already started watching the entries. It is our great pleasure to be able to count on the expertise of this august panel of highly experienced judges drawn from some of the sector's leading companies. Each member is selected for their experience and ability to recognise and appreciate creative excellence. We are incredibly proud to be able to count on a stellar jury here.
"We love working with Dutch composers for so many reasons: their curiosity, their knowledge of so many genres (including being the worldwide hub of the best electronic), their integrity, and bravery in artistic choices" - an L.A. based music supervisor.
