De Australische groep Silverchair heeft 28 oktober maar liefst vijf Aria Awards gewonnen tijdens de uitreiking van de 21-ste Australische ARIA-awards (Australian Recording Industry Association Awards). Silverchair werd onderscheiden in de categorieën van "Single of the year", voor 'Straight lines', "Album of the year", voor hun meest recente album 'Young modern', "Best Group", "Best Rock Album" en "Highest Selling Single" voor "Straight Lines".
